join us in July
Inspired by the announcement of the four Universal Apostolic Preferences and encouraged by the joy of last year's month-long celebration, we have created another July filled with opportunities to connect with Loyola Institute for Spirituality. In addition to the great events we're planning we invite you to consider making a donation to support our programs that bring spirituality to life and set hearts on fire. Check out our DONATE page for more information on our campaign - especially our weekly raffle drawings. Thank you!
Finding God in the dark
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. PDT
This film series is based on the book of the same name by John Pungente, S.J., and Monty Williams, S.J., which identifies a contemporary movie with one of the Spiritual Exercises. We at Loyola Institute for Spirituality offer a series three times per year which covers all four weeks of the Spiritual Exercises. The films are available on streaming services and we provide you with supplemental reading and questions from the text. We meet to discuss and reflect on the themes of the Exercise. For a full schedule of the films for our Summer series and to register, please click the blue "Register" button.
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. PDT
Have you ever wondered: "What is Ignatian spirituality?", "What is involved in the Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life (19th Annotation) retreat?" or "Is the Ignatian Spiritual Formation Program right for me?" You will have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have. Sessions are offered in Spanish and in English. Please click the Register button to attend one or more of these sessions.

Ignatian immersion Experiences
Saturday, July 18th and Saturday, July 25th - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PDT
In each of these two sessions participants will immerse themselves in an issue, consider all of the elements that affect that particular issue, consider it from a personal perspective (how has this affected me personally, how have I typically reacted when confronted by this issue, how has it made me feel, how do I feel unprepared to handle it, etc) and then consider from an Ignatian perspective to call us closer to God and model our responses on Jesus' life.
The two themes selected for these immersion experiences are based on the Universal Apostolic Preferences of Walking with the Excluded (7/18) and Caring for Our Common Home (7/25). To register for either or both of these sessions please click the blue Register button.
