Become a Member of LIS

In Fall 2014, the LIS Board of Directors decided that instead of mailing out periodic appeals for donations, we will ask our friends and supporters to become "Members" of LIS.  Just like in many other non-profit organizations (social, environmental, religious, or other groups), LIS Members will not only receive certain benefits, but will also provide much-needed financial support on a more stable and regular basis.

 

We have established several categories of LIS Membership, which are renewable annually, on a calendar-year basis:

  • Regular Members - anyone who donates $100 or more within a calendar year

  • Supporting Members - anyone who donates $250 or more within a calendar year

  • Major Donors - anyone who donates $500 or more within a calendar year, in the following "circles":

    • Manresa Circle - min. $500

    • Peter Faber Circle - min. $1,000

    • Francis Xavier Circle - min. $2,500

    • Ignatius Loyola Circle - min. $5,000

    • Magis Circle - min. $10,000

  • Sustaining Members - anyone who pledges to donate on a monthly or quarterly basis

    • Your total annual donations qualify you as a regular member, supporting member, or a member of one of the major donor circles.

Why Become a Member?

LIS membership is open to anyone who wants to be more actively engaged in supporting our ministries. Membership benefits include:

  • Gifts of Appreciation - religious bookmarks, calendars, books, pins, and similar items

  • Invitations to Special Events - annual BBQ, Ignatius Day Mass and Luncheon, Manresa Open House

  • Discounts on LIS Programs - special members-only discount rates on select courses and programs

  • Public Recognition - listing on the LIS website and in the annual “Hearts on Fire” program booklet

  • Personal Satisfaction - knowing that you are supporting the vital and growing spiritual ministries of LIS

How Your Membership Donations Help LIS

With your help, we will be able to meet growing needs fueled by a deep spiritual hunger that so many people are experiencing today. Our program fees are kept as low as possible, and we offer schloarships whenever needed and possible. We are committed to remaining affordable and accessible for all people, especially in these difficult times.

 

  • Scholarships for deserving people

  • Retreats for homeless persons

  • Leadership training for young adults

  • Expanded programs in Spanish and several Asian languages

  • Spiritual direction for individuals

  • New staff to help serve more people

How to Become a Member:

To become a Member of LIS for 2017, please either:

  • Mail in the envelope from the brochure mailer you received, and include your check or credit card info.

  • Call the LIS office at 714-997-9587 to make a membership donation over the phone using your credit card.

  • Call the LIS office at 714-997-9587 if you would like us to mail you a copy of the LIS Membership Brochure.

  • Click on the following membership levels to pay online with your credit card or PayPal account.
