Required text: Discerning the Will of God: An Ignatian Guide to Christian Decision Making by
Timothy M. Gallagher, OMV
Pre-requisite: None
Every day you make choices, decisions about the simplest to the most complex aspects of your life. St. Ignatius developed a template for making these choices which has been effective for centuries. This course will introduce the concept of discernment and demonstrate how to integrate God into your decision-making process.
What you can expect to do:

· Explore the Ignatian discernment process and the tools used in it. Learn to listen to interior movements and the voice of God in daily life. Learn to align your decision with the will of God.
· Engage in reading, discussions and exercises about discernment in the large and small matters of your life, family and career. Identify the things which prevent you from being able to truly say “thy will be done.”
· More closely align daily and life decisions with the will of God.
Upon completion of this course, you will have been given tools to discern God’s will in your life as Ignatius taught. You will be able to identify the areas of your life where you are not free to make the choices that bring you closer to God. You will have a template to work on those areas of your life.
